I'm a singer, songwriter and guitarist. I have a new album on Dimple Discs records, called What Time Can Do. The CD has a gatefold sleeve and poster insert. A vinyl version of the album will be released in early 2025. You can listen to it or buy a digital download here:

I began my career as a musician playing guitar in The Tea Set, a post punk band formed at Watford Art School. As part of the band I toured extensively and recorded several singles and an album. After the band broke up in 1982 I worked on a variety of projects taking in psychedelia, indie pop, alternative, folk and world music. In 1987 I recorded a solo album called The Great Indoors for the Bam Caruso label.
I took a long break from making music in 1989 and after completing a PhD became a full time lecturer at The Cass School of Art until 2017. During this time I wrote and lectured extensively about Alfred Hitchcock, including a book published in 2005.
I returned to music making in 2019 when I released an album of new material, A New Life Awaits You, Vol. 1, on my own label. I am currently signed to the Dimple Discs label and play live regularly. I'm often accompanied by Marcus Holdaway on keyboards who has also worked with The High Llamas, Stereolab, Super Furry Animals, The Coral and Colourway. In 2022 I released a mini-album of instrumentals called The Electromagnetic Imaginary. My latest release is the album What Time Can Do.
